Penerapan Logika Fuzzy Mamdani Dalam Klasifikasi Tingkat Kecanduan Gadget Pada Anak

Abstract

Gadget addiction among school-age children is an increasingly serious problem as technology devices become more accessible in daily life. This study aims to design a gadget addiction level classification system for children aged 6–12 years using the Mamdani Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) based on three input variables: Usage Duration, Usage Frequency, and Behavioral Impact. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 45 parents or guardians, consisting of 15 items quantified into a numerical scale of 1–5. The system was developed through the stages of fuzzification, construction of 27 IF-THEN fuzzy rules (3×3×3), Min-Max inference, Centroid defuzzification, and output classification into four categories. The results showed that 15 respondents (33.33%) were classified as Not Addicted, 14 respondents (31.11%) as Mild, 9 respondents (20.00%) as Moderate, and 7 respondents (15.56%) as Severe. The Mamdani Fuzzy method proved capable of accommodating uncertainty in assessing children's behavior and produced more flexible classifications compared to crisp logic approaches, making it suitable as an early detection tool for gadget addiction in an objective and measurable manner
